We work with high-quality Japanese products and are expanding our supplier network in Japan to introduce more exceptional Japanese manufacturers, materials, furniture, home goods, and lifestyle products to the Mexican market. Position Overview We are seeking a proactive, reliable, and commercially minded Japanese–English bilingual representative located in Shiga Prefecture. This person will help us identify and establish relationships with Japanese manufacturers and suppliers, particularly companies that may be interested in selling their products in Mexico through Takaya Mexico. The role combines local market research, business outreach, supplier coordination, interpretation, and relationship development. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working with Japanese craftsmanship, design, manufacturing, export business, and international commercial relationships. Key Responsibilities * Research and identify potential Japanese manufacturers, factories, brands, and suppliers in Shiga, Kansai, and other relevant regions of Japan. * Contact prospective suppliers by phone, email, and in-person meetings when needed. * Present Takaya Mexico and explain the opportunity to introduce and sell Japanese products in Mexico. * Assist in evaluating suppliers, product lines, quality, export readiness, pricing, minimum order quantities, and production capabilities. * Support communication between Japanese suppliers and the Takaya Mexico team in English. * Translate and summarize product catalogs, quotations, specifications, and commercial information. * Coordinate sample requests, supplier meetings, showroom visits, factory visits, and video calls. * Help build long-term, respectful commercial relationships with Japanese manufacturers. * Maintain organized records of suppliers, contacts, meeting notes, product information, and next steps. * Provide periodic reports on potential suppliers and commercial opportunities.
